We are burnt out on seeing the Technician rebooted at regular intervals, where the same story of a hetero white male is told over again with slight varieties. What is to be lost by making the Repairman Dark? Then again Muslim? Then again Gay? Not a ton as I would see it. 


There is nothing in the Technician arrangement that keeps him from being a Dark African or a Gay Muslim. We require more assorted legends. We are living in reality as we know it where rise to circumstance is not as far along as we trusted it would be. Shading or race won't influence the Workman story, it will just improve it. We can identify with him in such a large number of ways. The time has come to give the minorities the odds they had never gotten previously. We have to end the shades of malice of blue-looked at "whiteness".
